President Uhuru Kenyatta Thursday assured that he will devote all his energy to improving the lives of Kenyans in his second term in office.
Speaking Thursday when he stopped at Githurai Kimbo in Kiambu County to acknowledge greetings from hundreds of enthusiastic residents, President Kenyatta said he will ensure that priority projects that will transform the lives of Kenyans are not delayed.
For Githurai Kimbo and the adjacent areas, President Kenyatta singled out rehabilitation of roads, construction of a market and provision of clean water as some of the projects that will be addressed first.
“We have promised to rehabilitate this road, to construct a market and ensure you have a steady supply of clean water – and this is a promise we intend to fulfill,” President Kenyatta told the jubilant residents.
The president was on his way back to Nairobi after attending the funeral of the late Mrs. Charity Gathoni Muigai Kenyatta who was buried at her farm in Githurai Kimbo. The late Mama Charity Gathoni was a relative to the President.
