President Uhuru Kenyatta, has expressed satisfaction that the October 26th poll, will go on as planned.

He said despite NASA's threats that there will be no election, IEBC would follow the law by ensuring every registered voter, at the polling station takes part in the election.

Uhuru said in the regions where no vote will be cast, the Returning Officers (ROs) would file zero votes, which is a number in an election.

“So long as the Returning Officer says no one participated, that is a Kenyan exercising their democratic right, of not to vote. Zero votes will be filed. The process will go on, whether a Kenyan votes or fails to vote," Uhuru said, during an interview on one of the local TV station.

He further assured Kenyans of their security during the poll, saying sufficient security detail would be deployed in various parts of the country, to ensure no voting exercise is disrupted.

"Opposition supporters have the freedom to boycott the polls, but the should not infringe on the rights of those willing to participate in the election," said Uhuru, Sunday, evening.
