Kenyans should expect a new cabinet to be named any time from now, President Uhuru Kenyatta has assured.

In his New Year address to the nation, the Head of State, once again, kept Kenyans guessing on when he will unveil his Cabinet.

Without giving the exact date, Uhuru pledged to nominate a new cabinet and Principal Secretaries in 'few weeks' time.

"In the next few weeks, I will unveil the men and women to whom I will entrust delivery of the Big Four, and other programmes that will transform this country," he said.

The President has identified, food security, affordable housing, manufacturing and inexpensive healthcare as Jubilee's 'Big Four'.

These are the key areas his administration will focus on during his final term in a mission to transform Kenya economically and leave a lasting legacy after his five-year tenure.

Speaking at the State House, Nairobi, on Sunday night, Uhuru said individuals named in the Cabinet must be ready to deliver to Kenyans.

"I will expect these men and women to serve Kenyans without partiality and with the very highest standard of integrity and efficiency. They must prove themselves worthy of the trust Kenyans will bestow on them," the President added.
