President Uhuru Kenyatta has revealed why he is willing to ho;d dialogue with NASA leader Raila Odinga after the Thursday election.
This is after a number of leaders mounted pressure on the two leaders to dialogue over the current political stalemate.
Speaking to Radio Jambio on Monday night, Uhuru said that Kenyans have the democratic right of electing their leaders through the ballot and not through dialogue.
He maintained that he has no problem talking with Raila but Kenyans must exercise their right.
“I have no problem talking with my elder brother Raila, but it must be after Kenyans have gone to the ballot. Kenyans are the main players in all this and should be given a chance to practice their right,” said Uhuru.
Uhuru added that if he is elected, he is at liberty of holding dialogue with any leader.
He said that it is the role of an elected leader to cater for those who voted for him and the opposition.
The National Super Alliance has insisted that there will be no elections have called for the resumption of anti-IEBC demos.
