President Uhuru Kenyatta has come to reveal why NASA leaders have resorted to sourcing public funding for their campaigns.
According to Uhuru, NASA can longer receive funding because governors who allegedly financed their campaigns were sent home on August 8.
The Head of State speaking at rally in Nairobi on Saturday, cited Nairobi and Kajiado as some of the counties that funded Raila's campaigns.
Uhuru gave an example of Nairobi county where revenue collection was at Sh40 million per day up from Sh17 million which was being raised before Governor Mike Sonko took over.
"The difference is what our colleagues used to pocket and use for their evil deeds. Now they have started collecting public funds because what they used to steal is lost. The money will now be used to upgrade drainage systems, street lighting, water supply and give jobs to our youth," said Uhuru.
Raila on Friday asked his supporters to donate towards his campaigns for the repeat poll ordered by the Supreme Court.
