Following massive support from a region perceived to be an opposition stronghold, President Uhuru Kenyatta has already started rewarding Gusii people even before validation of his election.
In unlikely turnout of events, Uhuru lead by 52 percent in Nyamira County and improved his performance in the neighboring Kisii to 35 percent.
And to make the figures sound realistic, Uhuru’s Jubilee party scooped four parliamentary seats out of 13 with another Women Reprsenative slot, a better record than in 2013.
And in parliament, the president has fronted Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi to deputize Aden Duale as Majority Leader in National Assembly.
Angwenyi has been one of the most vocal MP in parliament and perhaps the oldest given that he is serving his fifth term.
Also, Acting Interior Coordination Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i who also doubles as Education CS is expected to be one of the lucky survivors in Uhuru’s cabinet should the Supreme Court rule in his favour.
On Friday, Uhuru will know his fate following an anticipated Supreme Court ruling over a case challenging his reelection by opposition leader Raila Odinga.
