President Uhuru Kenyatta's tour of Homa Bay County, has seen residents of Mbita Constituency get new bridge.This is after he commissioned a bridge connecting Mbita town to Rusinga Island constructed at a cost of Sh1 billion. Mbita Constituency, is headed by Opposition (ODM) MP, Millie Odhiambo, who is Uhuru's strong critic.

Accompanied by his Deputy, William Ruto, Uhuru said he loves the people of Nyanza, just like any other Kenyans, across the country."The Jubilee government cares about the interests of the people of Nyanza contrary to claims from the opposition," he said, Wednesday.He noted the new bridge would ease transport in the area, besides improving the availability of fish, hence ease doing business, across the county.Uhuru indicated his government would ensure all the roads and infrastructure projects launched under his watch, are completed, for the benefit of Kenyans.
