President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto on Tuesday took their re-election campaigns to Uasin Gishu County.
The Deputy President said Sh30billion will be used to construct a new national referral hospital in Eldoret town, saying the Moi Teaching and Referral hospital will be under the management of the county.
Mr Ruto said the Government from the end of the year will reduce the cost of fertilizer from the current Shs 1,800 per 90kgs to Shs 1,200 to help more farmers access the commodity and thus increase production.
The Deputy President said a Chinese firm that signed a multi-billion deal with the Kenyan Government under the leadership of President Kenyatta for the construction of an industrial park at the Eldoret Special Economic Zone would create more than 10,000 jobs for the youth.
“Our aim is to create more than 6.5 million jobs through establishment of economic zones across the country and this is the only way to improve the lives of our people,” said Mr Ruto.
The Deputy President said Sh3billion has been injected to revive and expand operations at the Rift Valley Textiles (Rivatex) that currently employs 600 youths, saying the number will soon increase to 3,000 once equipment to facilitate operations at the plant are purchased.
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen said residents of North Rift would vote for Jubilee because it has initiated projects that have greatly impacted positively on their lives.
He said Kenyans were free to live and own property in any part of the country, saying action should be taken against anyone causing fear among peace loving people in the region.
Governor Jackson Mandago assured residents of Uasin-Gishu that peace will prevail at all times, saying no one will be threatened because of issues pertaining to politics.

The bypass from Cheplaskei- Kapseret- Simat will ease traffic congestion in Eldoret town and its environs.
