President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have expressed their sorrow following the death of seven people in a Saturday morning attack in Turkana County.

The attackers who are suspected to be Toposa bandits from South Sudan, killed six students and a watchman and injured 18 others, during the 3am incident at Lokichogio AIC Secondary School.

In his condolence message, Uhuru ordered for the killers of the young innocent lives to be brought to book.

"Deeply saddened by the death of young innocent lives lost at Lokichogio Secondary school in Turkana County," Uhuru tweeted on Saturday.

"My thoughts and prayers are with their families at this time of sorrow and grief. I also pray for a quick recovery of those injured," said the president.

"Ordered police to pursue the killers and bring them to justice," he added.

DP Ruto wished quick recovery to the injured.

"We condole with the families that have lost their loved ones following the tragic incident at Lokichogio Secondary School, Turkana County," said Ruto in a Twitter post.

"We share in their grief and anguish during this difficult time. Quick recovery to the injured," he added.
