President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto's relationship has hit a bottom low over a secret pact between the former with Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, reports the Sunday Nation.

Prior to both August and October polls, Uhuru met former President Daniel Moi in separate occasions where the deal was reportedly brokered.

"We submitted our request and we hope the president will put it under consideration," said KANU's John Longanyapuo in reference to government appointments.

Under the deal, KANU is said to have proposed two cabinet slots and four Principal Secretaries, a move that has further rattled Ruto's camp.

And when asked about the secret pact, Ruto's confidant and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen would rather 'not discuss the new developments'.

"I will rather not discuss about it at the moment," he told Sunday Nation, an indication of brewing rivalry between Kenyatta and Uhuru's camp.

Also, Ruto's camp is said to have been angered by Uhuru's decision to delegate Senator Moi responsibilities to receive  Presidents Yoweri Museveni (Uganda) and Salva Kiir (South Sudan) during Kenyatta's inauguration despite presence of many leaders who would have done it.

Those fronted by Moi to cabinet include Kiprono Kittony, son to Zipporah Kittony and KANU Secretary General Nick Salat.
