The President’s visit to Muranga County comes hot on the heels of a similar visit to his home county of Kiambu where he and Deputy President William Ruto consolidated Jubilee support on Sunday.
President Kenyatta will make several stops during the extensive meet-the-people tour of Muranga County to highlight his administration’s delivery track record in the last four years and outline his development agenda for the county for the next five years as he pitches for his re-election in the August polls.
The last two weeks have seen the President and his deputy lead high-octane re-election campaigns in the counties of Kisii and Nyamira in South Nyanza, Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia, Elgeyo Marakwet, Kericho and Bomet in Rift Valley and Bungoma, Busia and Kakamega in the Western region.
Apart from Muranga, President Kenyatta is expected to visit other counties this week as he seeks to mobilise supporters to give him and his team a second term.
