President Uhuru Kenyatta will be hosted by Royal Media’s Egesa FM on Monday in a unique interview, head of radio Nancy Omweri ha confirmed.
The interview comes barely two weeks after Kenyatta and his Deputy visited vote-rich Gusii region in a trip that was manifested with the launching of several projects.
Ms Omweri who spoke on Tuesday said the President will grace the occasion to explain the reason behind a number of stalled road projects in the region.
“We have been in touch with State House and I am happy that I met the President to secure an interview. We really needed the interview as Abagusii community to iron out a few issues that we receive complaints about,” she said.
“For instance, we have raised the issue of stall road projects of Kemera-Amabuko and Metamaywa-Mosobeti which the President remained mum about when he visited Kisii and Nyamira last week. He cancelled Kitutu Masaba trip where people were expecting him,” she added.
Omweri also said dwindling coffee and tea farming will be among the areas the Head of State is expected to tackle while on air.
“We also have the issue of coffee and tea farming which as media; we receive complaints from our followers on a daily basis," said Omweri.
"It’s important that we have secured that important interview so that we help our people to understand what the government is doing,” she added.
Kenyatta will be hosted by renowned Radio presenter and motivational speaker Mr Sorobi Moturi according to the radio management from 7 Pm.
