President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to make an address to the nation, this evening.

He will make a televised address, from the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), Nairobi, immediately after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declares him or his rival, Raila Odinga, the president elect.

"President @UKenyatta to make televised address from KICC immediately following announcement by the IEBC,'' said State House Spokesperson Manoah Esipisu, Friday evening, on Twitter.

IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati is set to possibly declare Uhuru as the new president, Friday evening, following results that showed him ahead of Raila, in terms of votes percentage.

Odinga has since dismissed the results, saying they were sham, and unverified.

KICC is already set, ready for the televised address.

Currently, Chebukati is declaring the results at the national tallying centre, at the Bomas of Kenya.
