President Uhuru Kenyatta will take his campaigns in Gusii region on Thursday, a month after Chief Justice David Maraga nullified his victory.

In what was perceived as retaliation to Uhuru’s persistent attacks on Maraga, thousands of residents from the region took to streets in the defense of the embattled Chief Justice.

Politicians allied to Jubilee spent the better part of Tuesday preparing for Uhuru’s first mega tour to the region in as many months.

“We shall be hosting the president as we set momentum for October 26th presidential repeat poll,” said Shadrack Mose, a first time Kitutu Masaba MP.

He added:”We have identified two venues where he will address public rallies but he may also many numerous stopovers across Nyamira County.

Maraga hails from Bonyamatuta ward, which is situated few kilometers from where the president will hold his final rally at Ekerenyo.
