President Uhuru Kenyatta will take his campaigns to NASA's running mate Kalonzo Musyoka's turf of Ukambani.
Jubilee led by the president and his deputy William Ruto will be in Kitui County to counter NASA gains. The released information states that the President will have to address seven meetings in the county.
The Head of State is set to launch several projects in the region to lure more leaders to Jubilee. The defections from Wiper party to the ruling party are among the issues Uhuru will use to attack Kalonzo.
According to Mwingi Central legislature Joe Mutambu, the President will launch Kitui East Constituency Inyuu Bridge after kicking off the tour with a Kyuso Kiambere–Mwingi water project launch. He will also address a rally Mwingi town and commission Nguni–Nuu road construction.
“The President will address another rally in Kitui town before going to inspect the construction of the Kitui–Kibwezi road in Kitui South. The last of his activities is to launch a new road at South Eastern Kenya University,” Mutambu said as quoted by the Star.
The Kitui County tour will come after Uhuru traverses Makueni County today. He visits amid confusion regarding Hon. Francis Nyenze’s loyalty to Wiper.
