President Uhuru Kenyatta could have been caught off guard and should be worried if at all he rigged the recently concluded elections, says Dickson Mokua.
Mokua further says the decision by opposition NASA to play cards under the table could have been a strategy to keep Jubilee always in darkness over any compelling evidence.
“Kenyatta and his team should be worried. NASA played smart cards especially on evidence gathering and this could find Uhuru unprepared,” he says.
“In such Supreme cases, if you’re caught unaware it could be difficult to make a comeback. This is quite different from what Raila Odinga did in 2013,” he adds.
Contrary to lawyer James Orengo’s remarks after declaration of Uhuru Kenyatta as President, NASA will yet again file a petition in Supreme Court.
In 2013 edition, Uhuru’s election was upheld after the Supreme Court judges unanimously agreed to the respondents’ submissions over vote rigging.
