President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday hit out at the Members of County Assembly accusing the national government of failing to support devolution, while riding on projects funded by the central government to win public support.

"An MCA builds one toilet and road and goes around saying "serikali ya Nairobi" haifanyi kitu, but we are the ones who allocated them the monies they use for development," the president said amid laughter from the public.

Uhuru who was on a tour of Baringo and Nakuru counties to commission various projects was speaking at Moto shopping centre during the commissioning of Molo-Olenguruone road. 

The Head of State was accompanied by his deputy William Ruto, Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua , area leaders and other government officials.
