Speaking in Mt Elgon in Bungoma County, the President said the former Prime Minister has been discrediting the projects to undermine him and his Deputy William Ruto.

"He has been questioning why we have been connecting rural homes and schools with electricity. I want to tell him that we will not stop. It is through such ventures that youths will start small businesses," said the President.

The Head of State said his administration was committed to the unity of all Kenyans saying days for confrontational politics were long gone.

"We will continue doing our job even in the face of criticism from the opposition. My government will not stop uniting all Kenyans as we promised before assuming power," he said.

He also assured Kenyans that the Government will end land problems in the country.

“My government is committed to ensuring land is distributed equitably throughout our country,” he added.

The President was accompanied by DP William Ruto, CS's Eugene Wamalwa (Water) and his Transport counterpart James Macharia, Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka and a number of MPs from the region.
