If the general elections were held today, President Uhuru Kenyatta would garner 47 per cent of the total vote while NASA's Raila Odinga would come second with 43 per cent.

This is according to the latest survey conducted by Ipsos pollsters. 

The study also found that 61 per cent of Kenyans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction as opposed to 27 per cent who feel the country is okay.

On the levels of confidence for the presidential candidates, 40 percent said they are confident with Uhuru while 39 per cent said they will trust Raila Odinga at the helm.

For the running-mates, 33 per cent of voters said they have confidence in Deputy President William Ruto as compared to 34 per cent that showed confidence in Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka .
