This is after acting Interior CS Fred Matiang'i imposed curfews in different counties including Garissa, Lamu and Tana in a bid to fight the terror suspects.
Speaking on Sunday, President Uhuru said that the government will have no reason to uphold the curfew if the residents corporate to root out the militia.
"There is no government that can use a few people to make the larger majority suffer and we call upon everyone to work with us to ensure this stops, we will then be able to lead peaceful lives onwards," he said.
He also said that the state is ready to allow people to continue with their lives.
"We will do this together because we all want the freedom to go on with normal lives after we capture these militants." Uhuru added.
The head of State further took a swipe at the Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, saying that he did nothing for the many years.
“Your neighbor (NASA running mate) Kalonzo Musyoka was in government for 35 years. Let him show us one thing he has done for the people of Garissa,” he said.
