President Uhuru Kenyatta has poken for the first time since the Monday incident where IEBC ICT director the late Mr Chris Msando was found dumped at the Nairobi City Mortuary.
Uhuru ordered for a speedy probe into the death of the officer together with than of 21-year-old Carol Ngumbu. The Head of State also expressed the nations grief over the tragic occurance.
“Chris was a man who gave himself to the service of his country, and its institutions. It is appropriate, then, to let those institutions handle the investigation, the better to bring the doers of this foul deed to justice," he said.
Uhuru also urged Kenyans to be patient as the relevant authorities are conducting investigations on what really happened to the two in stead of jumping to conclusions.
"Careless speculation in this time of grief only makes the work of investigators harder, and it only adds to the pain of those who loved him,” he said.
“Let us respect his (Chris’) life, his achievements, and his memory by allowing these investigations to proceed calmly," he added.
