As the August 8 polls day approaches, the two top political contenders, Jubilee Party and the National Super Alliance (Nasa) have continued to campaign across the country, rallying support for their candidates.Today, Tuesday, President Uhuru Kenyatta takes his re-election bid campaigns to Machakos county, an area perceived to be a Nasa stronghold.This is despite area governor Dr Alfred Mutua defecting from Nasa's Wiper, to form MCCP, which support's Uhuru's candidature.Machakos is seen as an area where Nasa presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka enjoys massive following.Uhuru's visit in the county aims to lure more voters to Jubilee, to neutralise Nasa influence in Ulambani region.In today's tour, Uhuru visits Ekalakala, Matuu, Kangundo, Kenol and finally Machakos town, where he will hold a public address.He is expected to be accompanied by Dr Mutua, who is facing competition from Wiper candidate Wavinya Ndeti.
