The Jubilee Party, is today (Monday), taking its campaigns to Turkana County.
This follows a successful campaign tour of Baringo County, Sunday, where they toured Eldama Ravine, Marigat, among other areas.
Led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto, Jubilee seeks to neutralise the effect of their opponents, Nasa, in the region.
Turkana is known for supporting the Opposition, with area governor Josphat Nanok, being a staunch supporter of Nasa presidential candidate, Raila Odinga's ODM party.
Uhuru's last visit in the North Rift county, in March, saw him clash with Nanok, over oil project, where Nanok accused Uhuru's administration of benefiting from the project, isolating residents. Claims Uhuru, harshly dismissed.
The tour was initially scheduled for Saturday July 8, but the Jubilee Party canceled ti mourn the sudden death of Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Ole Nkaissery.
Uhuru's campaign team is scheduled to visit Lokitaung, Kakuma, Lokichar, and finally hold a public rally in Lodwar town.
