President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday blasted NASA top brass and poked holes into their development record.

Speaking at Mkunguni Square when he visited Lamu County, Uhuru who was accompanied by his deputy William Ruto asked residents to shun the opposition, saying they have no agenda for the country.

"All the opposition bigwigs have been in government before but they can't seem to point out even a single thing they did to better the lives of Kenyans,” said Uhuru.

On his part, while asking the locals to back their re-election bid, Ruto cautioned the residents against voting for NASA and instead urged them to allow Jubilee to complete the good development projects they have initiated.

With the thorny land issue becoming a hot political topic once again, the President said that under his leadership, the locals have been able to get land title deeds which no previous regime had issued.

The President is leading his troops in the region on a vote-hunting mission with over 1.7 million votes at stake.

The opposition NASA coalition has also lined a series of rallies in the region starting next month as they aim to galvanize their territory from Jubilee's constant raid.
