Jubilee party has deployed a well oiled campaign team to Kitutu Chache South constituency ahead of a crucial poll.
Widely viewed as a swing region, the opposition team has persistently dismissed Jubilee's influence in the region.
And Gusii Jubilee campaign manager Charles Nyachae says Uhuru is keen to deliver the seat as a manifest that the region has since leaned towards his party.
"We are ready to show NASA that they no longer control Gusii. the president is keen to have the seat delivered to Jubilee," Nyachae said during interview with reporters.
He added: " We have proved to them in the recent elections that Jubilee is now popular here and and the mini poll will wrap up the debate."
While NASA has deployed Governor Hassan Joho to steer the campaigns, Jubilee has relied on Mike Sonko of Nairobi.
While NASA has filed Richard Onyonka and Sam Omwando, Jubilee has only fielded Antony Kibagendi.
