A group of MCAs from Mombasa has called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to tell Kenyans what he meant when he issued "threats" to Governor Hassan Joho.
This is after the Head Of State said that he will straighten up Joho.
“The utterances by the President are scary and must be carefully evaluated not only by leaders but also citizens and the media,” said the MCA's led by Tononoka's Saad Faraj.
President Uhuru promised to "deal with" and to "discipline” Joho, for allegedly following him everywhere.
According to the MCAs who were speaking on Thursday at the County Assembly buildings, said such remarks should not be taken lightly.
“We must be open so that these matters are clearly understood. We want a clarification from the President on what he meant when he spoke of disciplining Governor Joho,” Faraj said.
On Thursday, Joho recorded a statement with the police after armed men were spotted at his residence in Mombasa.
