President Uhuru Kenyatta has termed the Coalition of Reforms and Democracy (Cord) anti-IEBC demos as a threat to the country's economy urging Kenyans to shun them.
According to the Head of State, the protests are being deliberately staged to slow down the country's economic progress and brand him a failure.
He questioned the motive behind Cord's principals alleged shifting of goal posts.
"They called for our team that will be engaged in the negotiations, why are they afraid to come forth and discuss if that is what they wanted from the word go?" he said.
The President cautioned Kenyans against protesting saying such a move will scare investors.
"Let them (Cord) do what they think is right because what I know is that it's you Kenyans that will choose who is best suited to lead you. My commitment to serve you diligently shall not be distracted by individuals out to fulfill their personal interests," he said.
