President Uhuru Kenyatta has bashed out at Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (cord) leader Raila Amolo Odinga for claiming that his government has done nothing for the electorate since he took over power.
According to President Kenyatta, the former Prime minister did not do much when he served in different capacity, adding that it is unfortunate for him to keep criticizing him as he initiates different projects across the nation.
“It is wrong for the opposition leader, who has been a Prime Minister, to claim that Jubilee has done nothing. It would be better if he acknowledged the efforts of the government, but add that if given the opportunity he would do more,” said the President, as quoted by Capital FM.
The head of State said that he has initiated different projects across the nation including the Standard Gauge Railway, which will benefit Coastal residents and the rest of Kenyans once it becomes operational.
“There will be an inland container depot and the Export Processing Zone in Voi with which investors would be processing their products and transport them to Mombasa for export. This will mean the creation of job opportunities to the local youth,” said President Kenyatta.
The President spoke in Bura Mission and Mwatate trading centre, Taita Taveta County. Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula have been launching attack after attack against the current government.
