President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to fire up to seven current Cabinet Secretaries, reports the Sunday Nation.

Despite a suit challenging his victory, Uhuru is understood to be crafting names of people who suit his agenda should he be sworn for the second term in office.

“He is crafting the names and will make them public immediately he is sworn. Up to seven current ministers will lose their jobs,” a source told the Nation.

Those who will be affected are believed to have not added any ‘political value’ during the intensive seven months of campaigns across the country.

Also, the succession politics of 2022 are likely to play a major part in selection given that his deputy William Ruto is keen to put in place a team that will help him to ascend to power.

“You expect people who will work tirelessly for government so that Ruto will not have tough times when explaining about track record,” noted Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen.

Among those expected to be beneficiaries of the crackdown include Ababu Namwamba, Paul Otwoma, Gideon Mung’aro, Isaac Ruto and Peter Munya.
