President Uhuru Kenyatta will retain power after October 26 fresh poll, Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui has said.

The governor said Jubilee Party enjoys more support across the country than the Opposition alliance, NASA, and therefore he has no doubt that Uhuru will emerge victorious.

"Jubilee still has the required numbers to win the presidential election with even a wider margin than two million votes," he said.

KInyajui was speaking during the homecoming ceremony of London World Championship Gold medalists Geoffrey Kirui and Faith Kipyegon held in Kuresoi North over the weekend.

Speaking at the same event, Energy CS Charles Keter criticised the Supreme Court for overturning Uhuru's win saying numbers matters more than processes in a democratic country.

"The Supreme Court ruling was not fair and did not consider the will of the people. The law was made for man and not man for the law," Keter said, as quoted by The Nation.
