President Uhuru Kenyatta has for the second time, in less than a week, urged NASA presidential running mate Kalonzo Musyoka to ditch the Opposition alliance for the ruling Jubilee administration.

The President gave the former Vice President two reasons to demonstrate that by staying in NASA, the Wiper Party leader was denying himself a chance to build his political career.

Firstly, Uhuru told Kalonzo that the August 8 presidential election was as good as won by Jubilee and therefore Kalonzo hanging on the NASA flagbearer Raila Odinga will automatically make him a loser too.

The Head of State advised 'brother' Kalonzo to join his Jubilee camp to position himself to team up with his deputy William Ruto for the 2022 poll.

“My brother Kalonzo, you know very well that the man of vitendawili will take you nowhere. I invite you again to come and work with us to bring services to the people of Ukambani,” Uhuru said as quoted by the People Daily.

The President added: “In 2022, you can team up with William (Ruto) because the current election is already a done deal.”

Lastly, Uhuru said the former Prime Minister is an untrustworthy politician who will betray his running mate at some point.

The Jubilee leader reminded Kalonzo of the flopped CORD MOU election deal which should have allowed the Wiper leader to be a presidential candidate in the general election slated for August 8 this year.

“Had he (Raila) not reneged on the deal," Uhuru posed speaking at Matungulu in Machakos county on Tuesday.

Last week, Kalonzo dismissed similar calls to join the government saying Jubilee was a 'sinking' ship.
