The president announced the bus will be delivered in less than seven days to ease movement of students at the school built in the late Biwott’s rural village in Tot, Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Uhuru who spoke during the burial ceremony of the deceased former powerful minister also said the road leading to the school will also be carpeted.

“In honour of my friend Biwott that bus will be delivered next week and that road will be tarmacked,” the head of State said.

Before he made the announcement Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Alex Tolgos had requested the commander in chief to help carpet the road as Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago pleaded the road leading to the intuition be tarmacked.

 Biwott died on July 11 after reportedly collapsing at his Nairobi home and admitted to the Nairobi Hospital from where he breathe his last.

He died at the age of 77 after serving at senior ministerial position in the governments of former presidents Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel Moi and Mwai Kibaki.

He was a businessman, politicians and philanthropist.

He served as Keiyo South MP until 2007 when he was trounced by current MP Jackson Kiptanui.
