President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday told Kenyans to ignore propaganda peddled by the National Super Alliance (NASA) discrediting his administration.Uhuru said contrary to NASA claims that his government, for the last five years, has done little to change the lives of Kenyans for the better, he said his leadership had demonstrated ability to positively transform Kenya’s economy. He was addressing Jubilee supporters at COMESA grounds outside Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi after presenting is nomination papers to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to officially launch his re-election bid.“Ours is a government of action and not propaganda. We have delivered on what we promised Kenyans. 'Team Kenya' is not interested in incitement and hatred unlike those in the opposition. We saw those in the opposition yesterday (Sunday) saying that the war has started. We are not interested in any war and Kenyans do not want any war,” said Uhuru.NASA members Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Isaac Ruto on Sunday tore into Uhuru’s administration accusing it of being insincere in tackling problems facing Kenyans.Specifically, they accused some senior government officials of sneaking away tonnes of locally harvested maize to a neighbouring country only to return it and sell to millers claiming the maize was shipped in from Mexico.“They steal our maize and later bring it back and sell it to us. If you want to do business, it is okay, but leave Kenyans alone,” Governor Ruto said at a rally held at Jacaranda grounds in Donholm.Kenyans are currently grappling with a high cost of living occasioned by a maize shortage which, shot up maize flour prices to a record Sh153 in April.Uhuru said unlike previous regimes, his government had built a railway line, the second to the one constructed by colonialists over 100 years ago.
