President Uhuru Kenyatta will on Thursday start a three-day official visit to Uganda to attend a presidential retreat on financing infrastructure and health.
He will also attend a summit of the East African Community (EAC) member states.
While on his tour, Uhuru will also attend the EAC summit on Friday.
"On Thursday, leaders will hold the retreat on financing infrastructure and health, before attending the EAC summit on Friday," State House Spokesperson Manoah Esipisu said in a statement, Wednesday.
On his way back home to the country on Saturday, the President will stop over in Busia to inaugurate the one-stop-border facility in the town.
"President @UKenyatta will showcase the progress Kenya has made in investments in infrastructure over the last five years, unveil plans for further investment in this area, and emphasise his commitment to a more integrated approach in infrastructure development for the region," Esipisu noted.
"President @UKenyatta will urge greater speed in implementing projects, with a sharp focus on continuing the agenda of promoting the free movement of people across EAC and the wider African continent," he added.
Uhuru will also speak on Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) arrangements between the EAC and the EU.
"President@UKenyatta will outline Kenya’s path in the arrangements and what he sees as the future in cementing sustainable trade relations between the region & the EU," the State House Spokesperson said.
