Jubilee party presidential flag bearer Uhuru Kenyatta insists that Chief Justice David Maraga failed to uphold the will of the people adding that history will judge him harshly.

Although the landmark ruling that saw Kenya become the first African state to nullify presidential election, Maraga has been subjected to endless criticism from a section of government supporters.

And on Thursday, Uhuru accused the Supreme Court of failing to respect the will of people by ordering a recount.

“Maraga and his fellow judges misused their powers to subvert the will of people. They should have ordered a recount for us to ascertain the right winner,” Uhuru said, dismissing allegations that he rigged.

He added:” I want to remind him that history will judge him harshly. He is being used by losers to intimidate majority Kenyans. I will prove him wrong and the fake ruling.”

The lengthy ruling by four Supreme Court judges contended that IEBC failed to adhere to strict provisions of constitution and the electoral laws, thus compromising the entire exercise.

But an agitated Uhuru said, the opposition was hiding in the judiciary, even though, they are aware of the inability to defeat him in an election.
