Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua has said Jubilee Party members will ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta gets more votes during the repeat polls.
Mr Gachagua said members of the party will work hard to ensure people turn out in large numbers to vote for President Kenyatta.
The MP welcomed the move to make MPs and MCAs agents for Mr Kenyatta saying they are ready for fresh campaigns to ensure a Jubilee win after the Supreme Court nullified Uhuru’s win in the August 8 general elections.
Mr Gachagua expressed confidence that Mr Kenyatta will be re-elected by a margin so big it cannot be disputed in court adding that he will ensure 100,000 votes in the constituency go to President Kenyatta.
“We shall ensure Jubilee wins with over three million votes this time, such that even the judges will have nothing to look into if there is a petition.”
“We shall form constituency and ward campaign committees that will ensure 100 per cent voter turnout for the Head of State. Since I will be the chief agent of Mathira, I will ensure all forms are filled and stamped so that we have a clear win,” said Mr Gachagua.
Speaking at Sagana on Saturday, the MP added that he will mobilise his resources and campaigners to ensure all voters turn out during the October 17 presidential rerun.
The MP said he will ensure there are 20 mobilisers per polling station in his constituency.
