A section of elders has told President Uhuru Kenyatta to apologise to the Gusii community and Chief justice David Maraga ahead of his visit to the region on Thursday.
Speaking at Ufanisi resort on Wednesday the elders said the president made a mistake of calling elder Maraga 'Mkora' few hours after the Supreme Court ruling that saw the nullification of presidential elections.
Led by elder Joseph Raini the elders claimed that they won't support president Uhuru's re-election if he won't do so.
"We respect him as our president but his utterance towards Maraga are still fresh on our minds and we demand an apology," said Raini.
President Uhuru is expected to tour Nyamira and Kisii counties respectively on Thursdays.
He is also expected to receive more defectors to Jubilee.
