According to Former South Murigango Member of Parliament Manson Oyongo, President Kenyatta should listen to the opposition and allow dialogue.

Speaking during an interview with a Hivisasa writer, Oyongo stated that the nation is so polarized adding that the best solution is for the president to allow fresh elections to be held by resigning.

“Zuma resigned last night after pressure to quit from his party's African National Congress and therefore back at home we would like President Uhuru Kenyatta to follow suit as that will heal Kenya that is so much divided” said Oyongo

Meanwhile, Juma resigned on Wednesday evening after pressure from his party.

In his resignation speech, the former president noted that he disagreed with the party's decision but will obey it.

"No life should be lost in my name and also the ANC should never be divided in my name. I have therefore come to the decision to resign as President of the republic with immediate effect.

"As I leave I will continue to serve the people of South Africa as well as the ANC, the organization I have served all of my life in," Zuma was quoted by CNN.
