President Uhuru Kenyatta has been subjected to unprecedented pressure by KANU leaders who want him to tame Deputy President William Ruto.

Despite agreeing to work with Baringo senator Gideon Moi, the KANU leaders accuse Ruto of sabotaging them by his consistency verbal attacks against them.

KANU had agreed to work with Jubilee despite initially playing warm to the opposition outfit NASA.

“When we are trying to court NASA, he complains and when we are working with Jubilee, he is busy fighting us from within,” said Nick Salat.

“Ruto knows he cannot be president in this country. We are giving Moi one week to consult with Kenyatta before we reconsider supporting NASA. We cannot be taken for granted,” added Johanna Ng’eno.

While Ruto has laid plans to run for presidency in 2022, the Baringo senator has also hinted of running for the top job.

Other than the pressure from KANU leaders, Ruto is also fighting another rebellion being spearheaded by Bomet Governor Isaac Rutto.
