President Uhuru Kenyatta is not welcome to Kisii at least when he insults opposition leader Raila Odinga, a senior ODM member has warned.

On Thursday chaos marred Kisii town moments after Kenyatta left for Nairobi with angry ODM youths accusing his administration of discrimination.

Initially, Kenyatta had been subjected to criticism for reportedly launching a dormitory at a Nyamira school instead of addressing coffee and tea farming predicament.

“We are tired with theatrics of Jubilee regime and he should know that,” said Sam Omwando, a former Mayor and an interim Kisii ODM branch chairman.

Omwando added: “He takes our community for granted and time has come for us to handle him the way it should be. He is unwelcome and his handlers know that.”

Despite holding peaceful rallies across the region in his two days tour, Uhuru faced resistance in sections of Kisii County with a section of residents questioning his point’s men from the region.

His tour to vote rich Kisii region comes weeks after Jubilee strategists sitting in Nairobi identified both Kisii and Nyamira as possible swing counties.
