The MP claims that Jubilee government is unwilling to end the doctor’s strike that is in its sixth week.

Speaking on Citizen TV, the MP claimed that Jubilee government is not concerned about the ailing Kenyans who cannot access specialized treatment as a result of the doctors’ strike.

The Makueni MP said that Kenyans are suffering yet they have a government that needs to take care of their healthcare.

“Jubilee government should urgently pay striking doctors for them to resume service delivery in public hospitals,” he said.

He accused the Uhuru government of lacking commitment to the healthcare. The vocal lawmaker asked President Kenyatta to take responsibility of the strike.

“The government cannot say that it does not have money to pay doctors when money is being looted by some people in government” he claimed.

The doctors’ strike that started on December 5 last year is in its sixth week.

Both the government and doctors union have maintained hard stands with doctors saying that they will not accept anything if not the Bargaining Collective Agreement (CBA) they signed with the government in 2013.
