Nyamira residents led by Charles Ondieki said EACC has not only failed the national government but also Nyamira County.

“We are not happy with the way EACC is running its operations because it is just recently we witnessed Nyamira county sack over 30 workers.

"They forged academic documents yet EACC has been making unnecessary tours to the region in the fight against graft. Uhuru should move with speed and disband the so called EACC,” said Ondieki.

Another resident Martin Manoti stated that EACC officials are only interested to be paid salaries doing shoddy job.

“The government should stop paying EACC officials because the agency has failed to fight corruption as required.

"The agency is targeting small thieves leaving cartels to embezzle public funds. President Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto must act and ensure the agency is disbanded immediately,” said Manoti.

The locals condemned Nyamira County public service board for hiring workers o the county who have not met the requirements.
