Odinga claimed that Uhuru and the Jubilee government are not willing to address the land injustices in the region.

The Cord leader, during a rally in Ukunda on Thursday, asked the Jubilee government to implement the Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission (TJRC) report which he said provides mechanisms of handling the land issues at the Coast and another part of the country.

“Jubilee government has never been serious about addressing the land issues at the Coast and instead of addressing the issues they are busy giving land titles,” he said.

The Cord leader at the same time hit out at the Jubilee government accusing it of using land titles to woe for votes ahead of 2017.

He said that the strategy being used by Uhuru in the issuance of land titles aims at wooing for votes.

“Kenyans who genuinely own land have a right to be issued with titles and Jubilee government should stop using titles to woe for votes,” he said.

Raila is on a tour of the Coastal region where he is expected to consolidate support ahead of 2017 general election.
