President Uhuru Kenyatta has hatched a plot to retain power through unconstitutional means, NASA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga has said.
Raila, who is taking a fourth stab at the presidency, said that Uhuru and his Jubilee brigade are planning to remove the presidential term in his favor.
Raila, who was speaking during a Nasa rally in Nairobi’s Embakasi, said that opposition leaders is aware of Uhuru’s scheme, adding that they will not take it lying low.
He also said that Jubilee has been sponsoring petitions filed by non complaint county governors and Judges with the aim of winning them over to their side.
“We know what President Uhuru is planning, to be a life president. They want the Jubilee compliant judges and governors so that they can have their way. They even sponsored petitions against non-compliant governors. Uhuru is in office by fraud and not by the mandate of the people of Kenya,” Mr Odinga said, as quoted by Nation.
This comes at a time when Raila and his brigade has been pushing for the removal of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) following the nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win.
He was accompanied by Co-principals Mr Kalonzo Musyoka and Mr Musalia Mudavadi and several NASA politicians.
