President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned politicians against incitement and spreading hate speech and ethnic intolerance.
The President spoke Saturday in Nyeri at Wamagana grounds in Tetu during the burial of the late Hannah Wanjiru, mother to Chief of Staff, Joseph Kinyua.
“The leaders should focus on making Kenya a prosperous nation and growth of our economy and avoid spreading hate speech,” said Uhuru.
He called upon politicians to unite Kenyans and make it a priority by upholding integrity and good morals.
He also lashed at the public for neglecting the basic principles of life.
“We must go back to the basic principles to unite and build this nation. There are a lot of negative deeds happenings which damage our reputation.” He said.
