Speaking during a rally to mobilise voter registration in Embu County on Wednesday, Uhuru warned the former Prime Minister against inciting Kenyans to violence during the forthcoming election period.

“Stop talking about violence all the time and let us compete on policies and leave Kenyans to make their choices,” said the President.

The Head of State said the opposition chief has no agenda for the country, saying he is only good at inciting Kenyans and insulting the Jubilee administration.

“Every time you open your mouth you issue crude insults and illogical allegations. This proves to Kenyans that you have no vision for this nation," he said.

Uhuru added that the country is not ready for violence and anyone who incites Kenyans will be dealt with in accordance with law.

He was responding to alleged threats by the Cord leader Raila Odinga, that the opposition will use all necessary mechanisms to reject August 8 polls results if the election will be rigged.

The Jubilee Party leader also called on Kenyans to reject those who want to exploit tensions and violence as a political tool.
