Geni, a fierce critic of the Jubilee government in April this year openly challenged Uhuru’s development record when the latter toured Nyamira County.

And on Thursday, Geni claimed that Uhuru had reverted to the old Kanu tactics of making elected leaders beg for development by supporting his ruling coalition.

“I want to remind Uhuru that his days in office are numbered. He only takes development to regions that are pro-Jubilee and segregates those that support the opposition. That isn’t what a national leader should do,” he said.

“The constitution mandates him to develop all regions without prejudice but those in the opposition; we are having our regions ignored. It’s only those who bend low and visit him at State House only benefit. He is slowly re-introducing the dark days of Kanuism to the country,” he added.

He also challenged voters in Gusii region to support the opposition insisting that it would constitute the next government in 2017.

“There is no doubt that Uhuru cannot handle the economy and people are tired of him. Gusii people should remain in Cord because we are going to form the next government,” he said.
