Kwale Women Representative Zainab Chidzuga has rubbished predictions that the August 8 presidential election will go to a runoff.
Chidzuga termed the prediction by a section of analysts as absurd, arguing that President Uhuru Kenyatta will win in round one with a landslide.In an interview with the Standard, the ODM rebel MP said the August 8 polls is a done deal for Jubilee, adding that those expecting a runoff are dreaming because Jubilee has the numbers to win in round one.“It is ridiculous for people to claim that August 8 presidential poll will go to a runoff when numbers are favoring UhuRuto,” said Chidzuga.The MP said Jubilee will win with over 14 million votes and asked NASA presidential hopeful Raila Odinga to prepare himself psychologically for another defeat.She asked Kenyans to rally behind UhuRuto’s re-election arguing that the two are the country’s hope for development and national unity.The ODM rebel MP further asked voters to reject NASA, saying the opposition coalition is made up of old fashioned politicians who are out to fulfill their personal interests.
