A tough talking Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murather has dared Raila Odinga to proceed with his oath taking plans, insisting that he will not be spared by the law.

At the coast on Sunday, a tough talking Raila insisted he will take oath, adding that he was not scared of 'threats' by Jubilee.

"They keep saying they will hang me. I dare them ti go ahead. I will take oath and nobody will intimidate me," he said.

But Raila's stand has been subjected to criticism from both NASA and Jubilee, with US calling for political solution.

And Murathe, a close confidant of Uhuru, says the president will not have alternative other than to apply the law.

"He keeps threatening us of swearing-in. I think he doesn't know the real Uhuru. The president shall ensure the law is followed.

"Actually, he is not special because he can be hanged over treason. We are tired of his rhetorics," said Murathe.

Last month, Attorney General Githu Muigai also warned that Raila could be charged with treason, whose penalty is death by hanging, a claim with opposition has dismissed in their rallies.
