Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe says President Uhuru Kenyatta will put much of his focus on fighting corruption and streamlining the economy once reelected.

Uhuru is facing stiff competition from his all-time archrival Raila Odinga, who was fronted for the second time to face him.

And Murathe admits that Uhuru’s first term has faced a myriad of challenges since he has used it to establish a formidable government.

“Of course I can say that the first term has been a bit challenging. It was all about establishing a government but we all saw him sack even ministers.

“A real Uhuru will even jail his friends and brothers should he win. I know him and he will do that confidently because this will be about leaving a good legacy,” he said in an interview with NTV.

For the past four years, Uhuru has been struggling to fight corruption and has often been criticized by the opposition for allegedly ‘tolerating’ the vice.

Among top scandals that overshadowed his leadership include the Ministry of Health and NYS scandals.
